On 6 November 2025, Dr. Jozef Bartunek, Associate Director at the Cardiovascular Center, Aalst (OLV Hospital, Belgium) and one of the eight partners in the ELR-SCAR project, delivered a talk at the 2nd International Symposium on Advances in Tissue Preservation and Regeneration held in Bratislava, Slovakia.
In his presentation, titled “Experience with Regenerative Therapy in Heart Failure: Advancing Care with Cardiopoietic Stem Cell Interventions,” Dr. Bartunek highlighted emerging strategies in regenerative cardiology, emphasizing innovative approaches to restore heart function and improve outcomes for patients post-heart attack. Dr. Bartunek’s contribution reflects the ELR-SCAR project’s commitment to advancing next-generation cardiac therapies through collaborative, translational research across Europe.
